June 2023: SOUTH YARRA: Lindy Hop - Combined Level 2 & 3

You should be familiar with basic 6 count footwork and have some basic understanding
of a swing out & a circle (doesn’t have to be perfect, cause we’re not perfect ourselves & constantly
work on these!). The focus is on working on your social dancing & dancing to the music. The class
would be simple enough for Level 2 to pick up a bunch of cool ideas & advanced enough for Level 3
to appreciate the intricacies & concepts. Feel free to shoot us an email if you’re unsure!

*We will be rotatng partners in class for all levels. However, if you prefer to stay with your own
partner for the duraton of the class, please let us know at the start of class so we can help you
arrange that :) *

Who are your teachers?
Ramona Staffeld is a professional lindy hop dancer & instructor. When she is not in Melbourne,
Ramona teaches, performs, competes & judges at dance events globally and has won numerous
internatonal dance awards. She also learnt from & danced with the late Frankie Manning, one of the
lindy hop greats from the 1940s.

Eric Liew has danced the lindy hop for over 10 years. He is part of The Rhythm Revellers, one of
Melbourne’s top swing dancing troupe, where he has taught, choreographed, competed, and
performed at various occasions over the years. Eric has also learnt directly from various professional
lindy hop instructors from around the world.
